[Remote] Customer Support Specialist

The Customer Support Specialist is responsible for answering calls from clients and providing timely and accurate responses, ensuring exceptional customer service and support for various stakeholders.ResponsibilitiesAnswer telephone inquiries in a pleasant, professional, and efficient manner assuring exceptional customer serviceDocument all incoming calls and dialogue in the claims adjudication softwareEducate clients on plan policies, benefits, and proceduresResolve client drug benefit concerns of a medical, financial, or technological natureInitiate and facilitate prior authorization requestsMake outbound calls to pharmacies and plans to facilitate completion of JIRA ticketsReview after hours calls log-complete any follow up as neededSubmit JIRA tickets for compound prescriptionsSubmit JIRA tickets to resolve NDC issues (pricing issues, missing NDCs)Stay current on plan and benefit structures, pharmacological updates, and Medicare Part D guidelinesAccept other duties as assigned; including but not limited to direct member reimbursement, processing, manual claims, reporting, and researching rejected claimsEnsures that HIPAA guidelines are followed in every communication with clientsEmbody AnewHealth’s Core Values in all communications and interactionsOther duties as assignedSkillsAssociate's degree or equivalent combination of education or work experienceA minimum of 3 years of experience in customer service/member service in a call center or similarA minimum of 2 years of experience in the healthcare industryA minimum of 2 years of experience in a pharmacy support roleKnowledge of plan and benefit structures and Medicare guidelinesKnowledge of pharmacology and pharmacological termsExcellent communication skills and professionalism when working with clientsAbility to solve problems under pressure by making immediate decisions while on the phoneDetail oriented and able to prioritize workloadStrong computer skills including using word processors, spreadsheets, and database softwareCPhT (Certified Pharmacy Technician) CertificationBenefitsMedical/dental/visionFlexible spendingCompany-paid life insurance and short-term disabilityVoluntary benefits401(k)Paid Time Off and paid holidaysMedical, dental and vision coverage are effective 1st of the month following date of hireCompany OverviewCarepathRx is transforming pharmacy care delivery for health systems and hospitals.
