The role involves understanding customer needs, achieving sales targets, and providing professional quality service while adhering to regulatory requirements.ResponsibilitiesUnderstands customer needs and provides wealth and investment-related sales and service to BMO customers or prospectsAdvises customers on wealth and investment strategies and products that meet customer’s objectivesFulfills sales and service activities for the customer in accordance with approved proceduresIdentifies and makes referrals to other business groups as neededProvides professional quality sales and service for customer and prospect inquiries, issues and requestsProbes to understand customer needs and advises them through their unique investment needsAchieves sales targets with a focus on relevant investment productsManages all transactional outcomes of customer contacts or refers to appropriate internal business groupsEscalates complex or unresolved customer situations to senior managers as requiredPerforms any required documentation after completed customer interactions to ensure customer’s requests are accurately processedMaintains current knowledge of investment markets, practices, and trends and integrates into customer conversations in a professional mannerIntegrates marketing promotions and programs into customer conversations where appropriateMaintains the confidentiality of customer and Bank informationIdentifies and reports suspicious patterns of activity that are suspected to be related to money launderingAdheres to regulatory and compliance requirements, including Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing reporting requirements, Financial Consumer Agency of Canada (FCAC) consumer provision requirements and Privacy Act provisionsCompletes complex & diverse tasks within given rules/limitsAnalyzes issues and determines next steps; escalates as requiredBroader work or accountabilities may be assigned as neededSkillsTypically between 1 – 2 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study desirable or an equivalent combination of education and experienceHigh school diploma or equivalent work experienceKnowledge of competitive market place trends and product offeringsKnowledge of BMO Investment / BMO InvestorLine products and servicesStrong verbal and written language skills in both English and FrenchSome understanding of Risk Management & ComplianceBasic specialized knowledgeVerbal & written communication skills - GoodOrganization skills - GoodCollaboration & team skills - GoodAnalytical and problem solving skills - GoodWorking towards the Canadian Investment Regulatory Exam (CIRE) via CIROBenefitsHealth insuranceTuition reimbursementAccident and life insuranceRetirement savings plansCompany OverviewWe’re a bank, but there’s more to it than that.
