[Remote] Customer Service Representative I

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The City of Edmond is seeking a Customer Service Representative I to assist with utility payments and service requests. This role involves answering customer calls, troubleshooting account issues, and providing information regarding billing and services, while also responding to emergencies as needed. Responsibilities Answer incoming calls from customers Help customers troubleshoot account issues Work with customers entering service requests, including on/off orders, transfers, and re-reads Provide information regarding billing, account balances, service rates, etc Perform billing and quoting tasks for cash and non-cash deposits Collaborate with field representatives to coordinate service requests Utilize computer systems to enter data for every call Work during off-hours on a voluntary basis during emergencies (occasionally and upon request) Skills High school degree or GED equivalent 12–18 months of related training and or experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience Experience using Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Experience with data entry Valid Oklahoma Driver's License and a driving record acceptable to the City's insurance carrier Strong interpersonal communication skills Ability to maintain composure while displaying patience and friendliness Ability to meet the required physical standards for this position Ability to pass extensive background process and pre-employment drug and audio screenings Call center experience Benefits Generous benefits package including health, vision, and dental insurance Retirement plans Access to a dedicated primary care medical clinic at no cost to employees and covered dependents Sick leave, vacation days, earned time off, paid holidays, and longevity rewards Paid parental leave Potential for bilingual pay A tangible impact to the Utility Customer Service Department and residents in the City of Edmond A dynamic and inclusive environment where your contributions are valued Company Overview City of Edmond is a government organization that offers administrative services.
