[Remote] Customer Service Representative (Call Center)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Johns Hopkins HealthCare is seeking Customer Service Representatives (CSR) for their Call Center department. The CSR will be responsible for responding to inquiries from members, providers, and internal stakeholders, providing accurate information and resolving issues while ensuring a positive member experience.ResponsibilitiesAnswer inbound calls from Medicare Advantage members, representatives, and providers with empathy and professionalismHandle a variety of call types including benefit eligibility, enrollment, and claims statusConduct thorough research using available resources to resolve inquiries within CMS guidelines and internal policiesDemonstrate strong listening skills and patience to understand and address member needsWork independently while collaborating with team members to ensure first-call resolution and a positive member experienceNavigate multiple systems to resolve complex issues and advocate for membersExhibit a passion for delivering exceptional customer service that positively impacts STAR ratingsMake outbound calls as needed for surveys and to resolve outstanding issuesCommunicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writingAdapt to changes and demonstrate flexibility in a dynamic environmentSkillsHigh school diploma or equivalentInbound call center experience required, preferably in health insuranceStrong problem-solving and communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Ability to handle confidential information professionallyApplicants must hold their permanent residence in one of the following locations to be considered for this position: Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington D.C., or FloridaMedicare Advantage experience strongly preferredEPIC experience a plus; training availableBenefits100% Remote positionEquipment will be providedWi-fi will need to pass minimum speed test during interview processCompany OverviewAward Winning Health Care Welcome to Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center (formerly Howard County General Hospital), which has been serving our community since July 1973.
