The Customer Service Representative plays a critical role in processing medical equipment orders and ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the ordering process.ResponsibilitiesAccurately enter and process approximately 15 medical equipment orders per dayHandle approximately 40 inbound customer calls dailyServe as a primary point of contact for patients, providers, referral sources, and healthcare partnersReview and process prescriptions, documentation, and medical orders received via email, fax, and other communication channelsProvide updates on orders, product availability, and delivery statusMaintain accurate customer records and documentation within company systemsDevelop expertise in the company's product catalog to effectively support customers and healthcare partnersResolve customer issues and escalate concerns when appropriateCollaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillmentSkillsMinimum 2 years of customer service experienceStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsExcellent communication and problem-solving abilitiesPassion for helping patients and customersStrong attendance and reliabilityAbility to learn new systems and technology quicklyProficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, and other business applicationsExperience in Durable Medical Equipment (DME), Home Medical Equipment (HME), healthcare customer service, medical office support, patient access, insurance verification, or medical billingFamiliarity with Brightree, HubSpot, or similar software platformsKnowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, insurance verification, prior authorizations, or healthcare documentation workflowsCompany OverviewDRUM Associates is a provider of organizational assessments, talent delivery and professional development services.
