[Remote] Curriculum Designer – K-12 Math (Remote, India)

SigIQ.ai is building a personalized zoom-like 1:1 tutoring experience and is seeking a Curriculum Designer to create engaging, standards-aligned math content. The role involves designing adaptive lessons and collaborating with product and engineering teams to enhance learning experiences for students in the U.S. and beyond. Responsibilities • Instructional design: build lesson flows, custom instruction, scaffolding strategies, and interactive exercises that drive engagement and measurable learning outcomes. • Content creation: develop and review lesson scripts, practice problems, AI tutor instructions, on supporting materials such as slides, worksheets, and multimedia. • Slide design: produce clear, polished slide decks with strong attention to instructional visuals and details. • Quality assurance: evaluate and refine lessons for accuracy, alignment, clarity, and consistency; iterate based on learning objective data and teacher feedback. • Curriculum development: design and structure K–12 math lessons, assessments, and practice problems aligned to U.S. curricula and standards, with an initial focus on grades 2–8. • Lesson authoring: create high-quality lesson modules while maintaining quality and clarity. • Cross-functional collaboration: work closely with product and design to integrate curriculum into our tutor platform and content tooling. • Innovation: experiment with adaptive pathways, interactive experiences, and AI-driven personalization to improve outcomes. • Guideline improvement: propose updates to instructional guidelines and content refinement strategies to maximize student engagement and impact. • Feedback loop: provide expert feedback on lesson generation and teaching instructions to inform product and tooling decisions for school deployment. Skills • 2–5 years of experience in K-12 curriculum design, instructional design, or math teaching. • At least 2 years of classroom experience in mathematics preferred. • Strong background in elementary or middle school math; familiarity with U.S. Common Core is a plus. • Demonstrated ability to create lesson plans, worksheets, and assessments that meet state or national standards. • Proficient with Canva, PowerPoint, Google Slides, or equivalent. • Excellent written communication with the ability to explain complex math concepts clearly and precisely. • Strong organization and project management skills, with a track record of meeting deadlines across multiple workstreams. • Passion for equitable, affordable tutoring and for helping students build deep understanding through well-designed content. • Experience with edtech platforms, adaptive learning tools, or AI in education; comfort leveraging tools like ChatGPT to accelerate content workflows. • Experience using education technology in the classroom and tutoring across grade levels. Education Requirements • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics or a related field.
