[Remote] Cruise Business Development Manager

They are seeking a Business Development Manager to expand and strengthen the cruise line’s presence and sales within the US travel agency community by building strategic relationships and driving revenue growth.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain strong relationships with US travel agencies, consortia, host agencies, and key industry partnersServe as the primary point of contact for agency partners, ensuring exceptional communication and supportConduct regular in-person and virtual sales visits, training, product updates, and educational sessionsCreate and execute strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth and maximize market shareIdentify new business opportunities within the agency channel and convert them into long-term partnershipsTrack sales performance, analyze market trends, and implement corrective actions as neededRepresent the cruise line at trade shows, conferences, roadshows, and consumer eventsDeliver product presentations, webinars, and training modules to increase brand knowledge and sales adoptionCollaborate with marketing to develop sales tools, promotional campaigns, and agency-focused incentivesMonitor agency sales performance and provide regular reporting to leadershipManage sales budgets, promotional funds, and co-op marketing dollars efficientlyEnsure revenue targets and KPIs are consistently met or exceededWork closely with Marketing, Reservations, Operations, and Revenue Management teams to align strategies and ensure exceptional customer experienceProvide feedback from the agency community to help shape product development and commercial decision-makingSkills2+ years of proven success in the cruise or travel industry salesStrong existing relationships within the US travel agency community (host, consortia, and retail)Demonstrated success in achieving or surpassing sales targetsExcellent presentation, negotiation, communication, and consultative sales skillsWillingness to travel extensively within the USExperience with new-to-market or rapidly growing travel brandsFamiliarity with CRM systems (Salesforce), sales analytics tools, and agency booking platformsSelf-starter who thrives in a dynamic, partner-facing roleStrong relationship-building and influencing skillsStrategic thinker with a solution-oriented mindsetProfessional, polished, and trustworthy brand ambassadorBenefitsHealth carePaid days offRetirement benefitsIncentive PlanCompany OverviewDiscover the World is a travel & tourism company offering digital marketing services.
