[Remote] Cross-Sell Data Scientist
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Rate is seeking a Marketing Cross-Sell Data Scientist to drive data-informed cross-sell initiatives in the fintech space. This role involves partnering with marketing, strategy, and data engineering teams to design tests, analyze performance, and develop machine learning models that enhance customer engagement and business growth.ResponsibilitiesAnalyze multi-channel marketing data to identify performance drivers, customer behaviors, and optimization opportunitiesDevelop, validate, and deploy predictive models to improve Customer Lifetime Value and drive cross-sell conversionPartner with marketing and sales teams to design, execute, and evaluate A/B tests, multivariate tests, geo-experiments, and holdout analyses while ensuring statistical rigorTranslate complex analyses into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for business stakeholdersCollaborate with data engineering and business teams to support data quality, integration, and accessibility across marketing and sales platformsMonitor fintech and mortgage industry trends, consumer behavior, and regulatory considerations to inform marketing strategiesApply best practices in data governance, privacy, fair lending, and responsible AI/model usageSkills5+ years of hands-on experience in data science, marketing analytics, or a related quantitative role supporting cross-sell, customer acquisition, or lifecycle marketing initiativesStrong proficiency in SQL and Python and/or R for data analysis, statistical modeling, and experimentationExperience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)Experience building and evaluating predictive models and designing statistically sound experimentsFamiliarity with marketing and customer data sources such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, CRM platforms, paid media platforms, and email marketing toolsStrong understanding of A/B testing methodologies, statistical analysis, and performance measurementExcellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical findings into business recommendations for non-technical stakeholdersBachelor's degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, or a related quantitative fieldMaster's degree or other advanced degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, or a related quantitative fieldFamiliarity with platforms such as Salesforce, Encompass, Velocify, or similar CRM and lead management systemsUnderstanding of the mortgage customer lifecycle, lead management processes, and sales funnel optimizationKnowledge of regulatory, compliance, and data privacy considerations within financial services or mortgage lending environmentsCompany OverviewRate is a mortgage company that provides mortgage-related services and solutions.
