[Remote] Critical Harms Investigations & Incident Management Specialist

They are seeking a specialist to investigate and respond to high-risk escalations, ensuring user safety and effective incident management.ResponsibilitiesLead, own, and drive rapid investigations into critical and complex incidents, including but not limited to threats against child safety, violent extremism, and other high-severity harmsUtilize internal tools, data analysis, and open-source intelligence (OSINT) techniques to gather evidence, establish facts, and determine the root cause of incidentsServe as the subject matter expert and primary point of contact for all critical incidents, independently managing communication with executive leadership and cross-functional partnersEnsure all investigations are documented thoroughly, accurately, and completed in a timely mannerOperate within a 24/7 on-call rotation to respond immediately to high-risk and/or time-sensitive incidents that pose significant risk to users, the platform, or the companyLead and direct incident response efforts, orchestrating cross-functional teams to ensure a unified and effective investigation and remediationStrategically draft and deliver real-time, high-stakes communications and strategic recommendations to executive leadership regarding incident status, impact assessment, and mitigation effortsArchitect, own, and continuously iterate on robust incident response playbooks and protocols for various critical harms scenariosDrive detailed post-mortem reviews (Root Cause Analysis), identifying and implementing structural improvements to policy, process, and technologySkillsA Bachelor's Degree is required, or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in investigations, incident management, and/or policy enforcement on a social platformExtensive experience (5+ years) managing high-pressure, sensitive, and complex investigations with significant independence and minimal supervisionExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical and sensitive issues clearly to executive audiences and non-technical partnersDemonstrated ability to use data analysis, internal dashboards, and investigation tools to support fact-findingExperience mentoring junior investigators and guiding complex caseworkStrong project management skills, strong prioritization acumen, and the ability to build processes from the ground upFamiliarity with online safety issues to include exposure to high-severity risk contentBenefitsAll full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits as described on **[this page](https://careers.roblox.com/total-rewards)**Roles that are based in an office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted)Roblox provides reasonable accommodations to candidates with qualifying disabilities or religious beliefs during the recruiting processCompany OverviewRoblox operates an online platform for user-generated games and immersive 3D experiences.
