[Remote] Credit Strategy Analyst

The Credit Strategy Analyst will drive the growth of the home-secured personal loan portfolio by refining credit strategies and performing data-driven analysis to improve investor returns.
Responsibilities
ā¢ This individual will be responsible for monitoring, refining, and developing Credit strategies (including underwriting, pricing, loan amount & fees) for home secured personal loans
ā¢ Create test/control champion/challenger tests and monitoring to inform future strategies
ā¢ Provide scenario analysis/create financial impact sizing/develop new strategy test case
ā¢ Perform ad-hoc analytics, create reporting and presentations
ā¢ Work across functional areas to drive overall growth, product enhancements, and improve web funnel conversion rates across all channels
ā¢ Partner with Decision Science to define and develop Credit models and tools
ā¢ Maintain overall risk and return targets for investors, particularly in a changing economic environment
Skills
ā¢ 5-7+ years' experience in a similar analytical role
ā¢ Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Operational Research, Engineering, other quantitative major required; Master's degree a plus
ā¢ Experience in the financial industry, credit risk and mortgage/home equity experience required
ā¢ Must be proficient in Python or similar, SQL, and MS Excel
ā¢ Must be proficient in interpreting data using analytics, research methodologies, and statistical techniques
ā¢ Excellent English written/verbal communication skills, critical thinking and interpersonal skills
ā¢ Highly independent and self-motivated to form opinions that are supported by data
ā¢ Strong knowledge of modeling tools and techniques and use in strategy
ā¢ Ability to understand competitive pressure, economic trends and their business impacts
ā¢ High Energy with ability to work in a fast-paced environment
ā¢ Comfortable interacting and engaging with colleagues from all levels of management across all business units and third-party vendors
ā¢ Demonstrated technical leadership skills including self-direction, coaching, and mentoring
ā¢ Highly motivated, well organized, capable of developing and executing business analysis, and able to communicate status and results effectively
ā¢ Ability to succeed within a cross-functional team emphasizing Collective Ownership in a fast-paced environment
ā¢ Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team member
ā¢ Be confident and willing to challenge status quo, but also willing to concede and execute other's ideas when necessary

ā¢ Previous experience with Business Intelligence reporting (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, etc) is desirable
