[Remote] Couchbase Administrator

IntraEdge is seeking a skilled and experienced Couchbase Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize their Couchbase database environments. This role involves ensuring the availability, performance, security, and scalability of Couchbase clusters across production and non-production environments.ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure, administer, and maintain Couchbase Server environmentsManage Couchbase clusters, including node provisioning, rebalancing, failover, and recovery operationsConfigure and maintain buckets, indexes, and Cross Datacenter Replication (XDCR)Monitor database health, performance, and capacity to ensure optimal system availabilityPerform performance tuning, query optimization, and index management to improve application efficiencyImplement and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategiesTroubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, including performance bottlenecks, replication failures, and cluster health concernsCollaborate with application development, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to support database requirementsImplement security best practices, including user access management, encryption, and compliance controlsCreate and maintain operational documentation, procedures, and best practicesSupport database upgrades, patching, and migration activitiesSkills4+ years of experience in Database Administration, with strong hands-on experience in Couchbase AdministrationExpertise in Couchbase Server installation, configuration, and cluster managementStrong experience with: Couchbase Cluster Administration, Bucket Management, XDCR (Cross Datacenter Replication), Rebalancing and Failover Management, Backup and Recovery, Performance Monitoring and Tuning, Capacity PlanningHands-on experience with N1QL queries, indexing, and query optimizationStrong knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) conceptsExperience with Linux administration (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu)Scripting experience using Shell, Python, or similar languagesStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsExperience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCPKnowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShiftExperience with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, or ELKFamiliarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD pipelinesExperience supporting large-scale production database environmentsCouchbase Certified Administrator certificationCloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP) are an added advantageStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsCompany OverviewIntraEdge is a global technology services company.
