[Remote] Corporate Financial Manager

The role involves managing accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards while supporting program operations.ResponsibilitiesManages the finance operations and provides supervision over accounting, non-patient billing, cash receipts, asset management, capital projects, budgeting, month end close and financial reportingResponsible for the accounting operations of the company to include the production of periodic financial reportsMaintenance of an adequate system of accounting records and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk and enhance the accuracy of the reported financial resultsEnsures that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) or international financial reporting standards (IFRS) as appropriateWill also ensure systems and procedures are in place to support effective program implementation and support auditsWorks closely with program leaders and their staff, not only to educate the staff regarding finance and accounting procedures but also to explore how the finance function can support program operationsSkillsMinimum of five (5) years of previous work experience in general accounting or financeMinimum of two (2) years of supervisory experiencePrevious work experience in financial and accounting software applicationsPrevious experience using a personal computer and various software applications to include Microsoft OfficeBachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field from an accredited programCertified Public Accountant (CPA)Previous accounting/financial work experience in a healthcare settingPrevious experience with finance and accounting principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles; federal and state financial regulations, analysis of financial data and preparation of financial reports, statements and projectionsPrevious experience using advanced computer skills and financial analysisPrevious budget forecasting experiencePrevious public accounting and/or tax experienceMaster's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or closely related field from an accredited programCompany OverviewVCU Medical Center is a school.
