[Remote] COR HR Advisor, Global

The Contractor of Record (COR) HR Advisor will support customers by advising on contractor engagement models and compliance, while also refining COR processes and standards in collaboration with various internal teams.ResponsibilitiesReview contractor job descriptions, scopes of work, and engagement models to identify and mitigate misclassification and compliance riskInterpret country-specific legal research and internal guidance to assess contractor eligibility and working arrangementsAdvise clients on appropriate contractor boundaries, including time-off structures, supervision, and scope changesHandle complex contractor-related cases with legal or regulatory implicationsPartner closely with Legal, Compliance, Product, Payroll, and Engineering to improve COR workflows and controlsAct as a trusted advisor to clients by clearly explaining risk, tradeoffs, and compliant alternatives in an understandable wayDraft and maintain compliance-driven HR policies, SOPs, playbooks, and client-facing guidanceCreate and contribute to internal and external resources (Help Center content, training materials)Support audits, governance initiatives, and ongoing compliance reviewsMentor and support other COR HR Advisors to drive consistency and quality as the program scalesSkills1+ years of experience in HR advisory, HR consulting, compliance, or HR generalist rolesStrong understanding of contractor vs. employee classification and misclassification riskHands-on experience supporting or managing contractor relationshipsProven ability to interpret legal or regulatory guidance and apply it to practical scenariosStrong research skills and a self-starter mindset—you're comfortable digging through documentation, asking the right questions, and finding answers independentlyConfidence advising clients and stakeholders, including explaining nuanced compliance topics clearly and pragmaticallySolid knowledge of labor and employment laws in at least two countries (multi-country or global exposure is a strong plus)Strong HRIS experience (power-user level preferred)Ability to explain payroll fundamentals (earnings, deductions, taxes) and perform basic calculationsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detailProfessional working proficiency in English (additional languages are a plus)Company OverviewRippling is a workforce management platform that unifies HR, IT, and finance operations into a single system.
