[Remote] Contract Content Area Specialist

They are seeking a Contract Content Area Specialist to ensure professional learning experiences are rooted in subject-matter accuracy and current instructional best practices across core disciplines.ResponsibilitiesDisciplinary Expertise: Deep pedagogical and content knowledge in one or more core disciplines: Mathematics, English Language Arts, Science, or Social StudiesTechnology Integration (TPACK): Strong understanding of how to thoughtfully integrate instructional technologies to amplify learning, deepen content mastery, and increase student engagementStandards Alignment: Experience evaluating and aligning educational content, curricula, and instructional strategies to current national and state standards (e.g., Common Core, NGSS, C3 Framework)Collaborative Development: Ability to partner closely with learning designers and facilitators to ensure content accuracy, academic rigor, and pedagogical soundness in all materials and professional learning sessionsSkillsDeep pedagogical and content knowledge in one or more core disciplines: Mathematics, English Language Arts, Science, or Social StudiesStrong understanding of how to thoughtfully integrate instructional technologies to amplify learning, deepen content mastery, and increase student engagementExperience evaluating and aligning educational content, curricula, and instructional strategies to current national and state standards (e.g., Common Core, NGSS, C3 Framework)Ability to partner closely with learning designers and facilitators to ensure content accuracy, academic rigor, and pedagogical soundness in all materials and professional learning sessionsProficiency in relevant design tools and strong presentation skillsA strong commitment to working toward Digital Promise's mission and impact goalsAn interest in redesigning learning systems to better serve those who are historically and systemically excludedExperience collaborating with cross-functional team members to ensure information is shared, projects are completed on time, and goals are reachedBenefitsEmployees are expected to travel at least 4 times a year for in-person meetings and the annual staff retreat.Additional travel may be required based on role and responsibilities.Company OverviewDigital Promise provides support to advance technologies that can transform teaching and learning.
