They are seeking a Senior Content Writer to create clear and consistent documentation for public safety integration projects, collaborating with Solution Architects and stakeholders to ensure quality and clarity in technical content.ResponsibilitiesOwn, produce, edit, and maintain content for North American Public Safety regional product and site-specific deliveries, including CAD and RMS integrations. Solution Architects own the technical deliverables; this role ensures those deliverables are presented in clear, consistent, and reusable formatsPartner with Solution Architects and cross-functional stakeholders to plan, draft, edit, and finalize integration content; drive reviews to closure and confirm readiness for publicationManage and apply documentation standards, templates, and style guidance; ensure consistent structure, terminology, and formatting across CAD/RMS integration deliverablesCoordinate multiple projects, deliverables, and deadlines with minimal supervision; communicate status, risks, and dependencies and keep stakeholders alignedIntegration overviews and summaries (what’s included, who it impacts, and key assumptions)Implementation and configuration guides written for agency IT, project teams, and partnersInstallation or deployment checklists and readiness materialsAdministration and maintenance guides for regional and agency-specific setupsRelease notes and change summaries tailored for public safety stakeholdersEnablement materials that explain integration value, scope, and differentiators for internal teamsProposal and response content that packages approved integration information in standard formatsSkillsWork independently to solve diverse content and documentation problems, applying sound judgment and established standards; seek input at key milestonesBuild effective working relationships across functions; coordinate review cycles, manage feedback, and maintain versioned deliverables through planned release milestonesTranslate complex input from Solution Architects and SMEs into clear, audience-appropriate content; demonstrate strong attention to detail to ensure deliverables are complete, easy to follow, and consistent in voice and structureBachelor's degree in Technical Communication, Professional Writing, English, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)5+ years of professional writing experience, including technical/software contentExcellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to influence review outcomes and align stakeholdersExperience supporting software or systems integrations through documentation—editing and packaging SME-authored content into customer-ready deliverablesDemonstrated ability to improve documentation quality through reusable templates, peer review, and iterative process improvementsPublic Safety knowledge/background is highly valuedCompany OverviewOctave provides mission-critical software that empowers organizations to make informed decisions across every stage of the asset lifecycle.
