They are seeking a Consulting Project Manager to lead and manage strategy and planning engagements in the energy markets, focusing on integrated planning and decarbonization efforts.ResponsibilitiesLead consulting engagements using production cost models (e.g., Aurora, PROMOD) to support Integrated System Planning and Market Outlook studiesDevelop long-term plans for the adoption of renewable generation, distributed energy resources, and other energy efficiency programsManage project teams of senior consultants, consultants, analysts and sub-contractorsCo-ordinate and work with Forecasting, Risk Management, Fuel, Transmission and Distribution teams to incorporate long-range consideration into the optimal resource plansEnsure efficient coordination, clear alignment with internal teams, and timely execution and delivery of projectOversee deterministic and stochastic market simulationsAnalyze the impact of current and future environmental, policy and economic regulationsSkillsBachelor's degree or higher in engineering, economics, operations research, finance, statistics, physics, or mathematics3+ years of consulting experience in the electrical power/energy industry using Aurora, PLEXOS, PROMOD, or other production cost modeling toolsIn-depth knowledge of power market fundamentals, emerging energy technologies/trends, and simulation modeling for asset valuation, Integrated Resource Support, and/or market outlook developmentAbility to provide strong technical leadership / oversight for a wide range of economic and statistical analyses in the energy fieldTrack record of successful project management for electrical power/energy industry clientsStrong client facing, consulting skills, including excellent written, oral, analytical, and presentation skills requiredStrong interpersonal skills and teamwork, expresses ideas in a clear and concise manner, both in written and oral communicationsAbility to communicate complex technical analyses in clear, client-ready deliverablesFamiliarity with regulatory frameworks, interconnection processes, and decarbonization policiesCompany OverviewSiemens empowers customers to transform the industries that form the backbone of economies: industry, transportation, buildings and grids.
