They are currently seeking a Staff Consultant for their Fiscal Operations Advisory practice to deliver accounting and customer support services, ensuring timely and polished client deliverables while collaborating with clients to improve their business practices.ResponsibilitiesPerforms operational, accounting, and consulting activities that include customer service support and problem resolution, accounts payable processing, expense report audit, and ongoing reporting and analysisPrepares polished deliverables for clients; ensures timely client deliverablesWorks collaboratively with clients to understand current business practices, identify opportunities for improvement, assist in defining new processes, and assist in developing updated policies and proceduresSupports project start up activities, such as following project work plans, adhering to schedules, and attending kickoff meetingsReviews the work of self for accuracyMeets daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines in a fast paced environmentServes as an integral member of our Fiscal Operations Advisory teamOccasionally travels to client locations, firm training, or industry conferencesSkillsAssociate's degree or equivalent requiredMinimum of 1 year of related experience requiredStrong verbal and written communication skills and ability to provide first-class customer service via multiple communication methods (email, phone, chat, helpdesk ticket system, etc.)Critical thinker and creative problem-solver; outstanding time, organization, and project management skillsAble to take direction, learn quickly, and work independently to meet project objectivesAble to work effectively both as part of a team and independentlyAble to handle multiple priorities, tasks and simultaneous projectsProficient with Microsoft OfficeWillingness and ability to travel as neededExperience in one or more of the following preferred: expense report audit, accounts payable processing, and/or financial accounting including account reconciliationBenefitsBaker Tilly offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package to eligible employees.Company OverviewAt Baker Tilly, we care about you and the impact you make.
