Remote Construction Project Manager (Engineering + BIM | Heavy Live Coordination) - Contract to Hire
We are hiring a Remote Construction Project Manager with a strong engineering background and hands-on BIM capability to manage the design coordination and construction execution of luxury 7-bedroom beachfront villas in Puerto Rico. This is a high-engagement, real-time remote role. You will spend a significant portion of each workday on live video calls with on-site foremen, reviewing construction in progress, correcting issues, and verifying that work is being executed exactly per drawings and engineering intent. This is not an async or status-report role. This is a half-time trial position, with a clear path to full-time for the right person. βΈ» Key Responsibilities Live Construction Verification (Daily) β’ Be available on video calls for multiple hours per day β’ Review live site conditions via phone/video with foremen β’ Verify: β’ Layouts, dimensions, and elevations β’ Reinforcement placement and embeds β’ Framing and connection details β’ Identify errors in real time and drive immediate correction β’ Use BIM models, drawings, and 3D views during calls to explain intent clearly Design & BIM Coordination β’ Create and maintain coordination-level BIM models (Revit preferred) β’ Build initial models from 2D architectural, structural, and MEP sets β’ Detect and resolve clashes and constructability issues β’ Coordinate architects and engineers to deliver build-ready documentation Execution & Accountability β’ Maintain a strong sense of urgency β’ Track open issues and push them to closure β’ Hold designers and builders accountable to quality and schedule β’ Act as the technical bridge between: β’ Owner (English) β’ Construction teams (Spanish) βΈ» Required Qualifications β’ Fluent Spanish (spoken and written) β’ Near-fluent English β’ Background in engineering (structural, civil, or architectural preferred) β’ Strong understanding of: β’ Reinforced concrete and forming β’ Wood framing and structural systems β’ Coastal / hurricane-resistant construction β’ Hands-on experience with BIM coordination β’ Revit required β’ Navisworks a plus β’ Comfortable working live on camera for large portions of the day β’ Calm, patient communicator who can correct issues clearly and respectfully βΈ» Work Schedule β’ Atlantic Standard Time (AST) β’ Availability required: 7:00 AM β 5:00 PM AST β’ Must be reachable and responsive during these hours βΈ» Important Notes (Please Read Carefully) This role requires: β’ Daily live video coordination with construction teams β’ Active problem-solving in real time β’ Hands-on technical involvement If you prefer: β’ Fully async work β’ Minimal calls β’ High-level reporting only This role will not be a good fit. βΈ» To Apply Please include: 1.
