[Remote] Computer-Aided Manufacturing Software Engineer

They are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer specialized in computer-aided manufacturing applications to develop software and algorithms for CNC machining processes and collaborate on innovative digital products.ResponsibilitiesDevelop software to automate and simulate the CNC machining processDevelop high-performance algorithms related to advanced manufacturing applications that run efficientlyDevelop algorithms to perform toolpath planning for CNC machinesDevelop algorithms that run on local and cloud system deploymentsWork with scientists, software engineers, technologists, and product personnel on innovative new digital productsWrite robust, well-documented code using standard tools such as BitBucket, Jira, etcSkillsCurious self-starter who can solve open-ended problems through a combination of high-contribution independent work and integration with small teamsUndergraduate Degree in a technical field (such as engineering, computer science, math, or general sciences)5+ years of software engineering experience in a computer-aided manufacturing domain products and technologyHigh proficiency and hands-on experience programming production-level code in C/C++, and in at least one additional general-purpose programming language (such as C#, Java, Python etc.)Hands on practical experience and familiarity with CNC machiningHands-on work experience in engineering design, physics, and simulation conceptsHands-on work experience with software development for multiple major 3D data categories, such as CAD, CAM, graphics, 3D scanning, simulation of 3D physical phenomena, mechanical-interacting control system design and modelingMaster's degree or higher in a technical field (such as engineering, computer science, math, or science)Mechanically focused background (such as mechanical engineering, physics, design engineering, or experience in a machine-shop/factory)Expert level knowledge with toolpath generation technology and optimization algorithmsExperience at a CAM company working to develop CAM productsExperience with automating engineering design and analysisExperience with both desktop and container-based / cloud-based development workflowsBenefitsEvery employee of Re:Build will share ownership in the company and will share in the financial rewards of the success we achieve together, at all levels of the company!Hybrid or remote is considered acceptable for this role.
