[Remote] Compliance Consultant

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Compass Retirement Consulting Group is seeking a Compliance Consultant to work behind the scenes on an assigned book of business. The role involves performing annual testing, asset valuations, contribution calculations, and preparing required IRS filings, while collaborating with a team that includes Relationship Managers and Compliance Analysts.ResponsibilitiesDelegate the loading of Census and Asset data to Analysts in Datair or other compliance software after completing preliminary reviewReview completed Form 5500's, 5330's, and SSA'sPrepare and/or review reconciliation of assets and participant accountsIdentify operational error and plan compliance issues, determine corrections, and instruct corrections to be made to appropriate Relationship Manager or other staff memberReview and instruction the upload of vesting information to vendor websites to ensure accuracyReview the completed Valuation Package and prepare summary notes for the Relationship Manager to communicate to the plan sponsorIdentify RMD’s and instruct Relationship Manager to facilitate payment to participantsThoroughly track each plans projects and intricacies daily within Pension Pro, including notesCalculate employer contributions and true-up contributions accuratelyPerform projections, tests and calculationsPerform other tasks as requestedSkillsStrong verbal and written communication skills using clear and grammatically correct languageThe ability to problem solve, be proactive, and demonstrate initiativeRobust time management and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task requiredAbility to work both independently and in a collaborative team environmentSuperb attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines5+ years of progressive related experience in retirement plan complianceExperience using Datair, FT Williams, Pension Pro, and other retirement plan verification and calculation software platforms requiredComprehensive knowledge and understanding of retirement plans and record-keeping platformsBachelor Degree in accounting, finance, or related fieldCompany OverviewCompass Retirement Consulting Group is a retirement plan administration firm that provides quality and timely services.
