[Remote] Commissioning Project Manager

The Commissioning Project Manager will serve as the primary client contact and commissioning authority, leading commissioning strategies and ensuring project execution aligns with contract scope and quality standards.ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary client contact and commissioning authority on assigned projectsLead commissioning strategy for complex and multi‑system projects from pursuit through warrantyBuild and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication, responsiveness, and technical credibilityProactively identify and resolve project risks, scope gaps, and technical issuesDevelop commissioning scopes of work, schedules, and fee estimates for proposals and active projectsLead design phase reviews including OPR, BOD, plans, and specifications to ensure commissionability and performance alignmentFacilitate OPR workshops and commissioning planning meetings as requiredOversee development of commissioning plans, test procedures, and documentation, including:Pre‑Functional Checklists (PFCs)Functional Performance Tests (FPTs)Integrated Systems Tests (ISTs)Perform and/or oversee site observations, system testing, and issue resolutionLead commissioning meetings and ensure accurate documentation and follow‑throughMaintain accountability for project budgets, schedules, and deliverablesCollaborate with Project Accountants to support accurate invoicing, forecasting, and financial performancePartner with the Cx Project Coordinator to maintain project plans and resource alignment in VisionEnsure project execution aligns with contract scope, safety requirements, and internal quality standardsProvide technical guidance and quality oversight for commissioning staffMentor and support the development of junior and mid‑level commissioning providersContribute to the refinement of commissioning standards, tools, templates, and best practicesSupport internal training and knowledge sharing initiativesLead development of commissioning reports and systems manualsFacilitate warranty walkthroughs and ensure documentation is updated accordinglyDemonstrated leadership in commissioning and project deliveryAdvanced understanding of building systems within the built environmentStrong client‑facing communication and relationship management skillsProven ability to manage multiple complex projects concurrentlyStrong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skillsWorking knowledge of local energy codes, LEED commissioning requirements, and industry standardsFinancial acumen related to project budgets, schedules, and contractsProficiency in reading and interpreting construction documents and drawingsExperience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) preferredAct as a people manager for assigned team members, accountable for performance, attendance, and conductSet expectations and provide regular feedback and performance check‑insMonitor timekeeping and schedule adherence in line with project and policy requirementsPartner with HR on performance management, documentation, and corrective action as neededSupport onboarding, development, and reinforcement of company values and safety standardsSkillsHigh school diploma or equivalent required;
