[Remote] Collections Specialist (Account Servicing Specialist I - Bilingual)

The Account Servicing Specialist I is primarily responsible for the assessment of past due accounts and contacting customers to attempt resolution according to company policy.ResponsibilitiesPerforms outbound calls on past due customer accounts in efforts to resolve delinquencyRecognizes delinquent, or potentially delinquent, accounts and assumes responsibility for attempting account resolutionsResearch delinquent accounts to determine best course of resolution actionsProcesses over the phone payments, including credit card transactionsProvides relief options to customers encountering hardships in accordance with company policies and practicesUtilize company resources to achieve one-call resolutionsProficiently relay information to customers relating to interest, statements, and other account questionsAssists with overflow calls including (but not limited to) disputes, recovery, first pay, and bankruptcy callsAssists with in-office and administrative tasks as neededOther duties as assigned by managementSkillsAssociate's degree in business, finance, communication, marketing or related field OR relevant applicable experienceStrong computer skills including Word, Excel, Internet, emailProfessional phone presence and excellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong persuasion and negotiation skillsAble to handle stressful conversations with tact and diplomacy to yield the desired resultsStrong typing skillsStrong attention to detailTwo evening shifts per week, 12pm-9pm CST and 10am-7pm CST and one Saturday shift every 5 weeksBenefitsEmployment status (full-time or part-time) may affect eligibility for certain benefits.Some benefits become available only after a specified period of employment.Eligibility, coverage details, and enrollment processes will be provided during the onboarding process.Company OverviewAt Foundation Finance Company (FFC), we help home improvement dealers across the U.S. grow their businesses through fast, flexible financing solutions.
