[Remote] Collections Specialist

The role involves collecting debt on previously issued loans through outbound and inbound calls, while maintaining professional treatment of customers and adhering to company policies.ResponsibilitiesMonitor overdue accounts as assigned by supervisorRecord information about financial status of customers and status of collection effortsLocate and notify customers by telephone on delinquent and charged-off accountsAdhere to a structured waterfall of settlement options while negotiating within that approval matrixConfer with customers by telephone to determine reasons for overdue payments and to review the terms the original loanAdvise customers of necessary actions and strategies for debt repaymentPerform various administrative functions for assigned accounts, such as recording address and phone number changes and other detailed notes regarding account detailsPersuade customers to pay amounts due and establish repayment schedules, based on customer’s financial situationsScan and update documents into operating system as neededReview emails and forward all documents to the appropriate departments and/or personnelAdhere to established KPIsSkillsHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED)One year of solid Collections experience requiredMust reside in KS, MO, or OKAbility to work evenings and weekendsAbility to handle multiple tasksAbility to deal with unexpected changes in work, deadlines or strategyAbility to maintain accuracy in compiling information and reportingAbility to demonstrate reliability and dependabilityAbility to understand customer situations and feelingsAbility to problem solve and bring issues forward proactivelyAbility to face difficult conversations and situations with confidenceAbility to withstand and recover quickly from difficult situationsBenefitsShift differential during those hoursAll necessary computer equipment is provided by the CompanyCompany OverviewCaliber Financial Services is a tribe-chartered company that provides portfolio management service and customized fintech solutions.
