[Remote] CloudOps Engineer - 3rd Shift

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a CloudOps Engineer - 3rd Shift to support our consulting client on a long term project providing multiple government agencies with their #1 product. This role is REMOTE and will operate between the hours of 10 PM - 6 AM to support our clients' growing need for 24/7 cloud coverage.ResponsibilitiesConfiguration as code for infrastructure, system configuration, and application deploymentsDesign and deploy cloud solutions on AWSAutomate operations and maintenance activitiesReview security scan reports and address findingsApply patches, upgrades, and application deploymentsMonitor application availability and aide in resolving operational issuesSkillsBachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field6+ years of experience with system administration of RPM-based Linux distributions (Amazon Linux, RHEL, CentOS, etc.)Automation experience with AWS cloud services (EKS, VPC, EC2, S3, CloudFormation, etc)Experience with fully automated infrastructure, system, and application deployment with technologies like CloudFormation or TerraformExperience with shell scriptingExperience with government and industry security standards (CIS, STIG, or NIST 800-53) and remediating issues identified during security auditsExperience with version control and CI/CD pipeline toolsMust be able to obtain and maintain a US Government Security ClearanceBenefitsHealth, Dental, Vision InsurancePTO, 401K, Paid HolidaysSick Leave as required by LawCompany OverviewZachary Piper Solutions is an IT company providing government contracting solutions in support of the nation’s Intelligence Community.
