Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Brooksource is looking for a Cloud Network Engineer to join the Security Operations team at a Fortune 200 energy generation client. The role involves operational support for Cisco firewall technology, managing regulatory requirements, and driving network initiatives in cloud and hybrid cloud models.ResponsibilitiesConfiguration of F5 and Azure load balancersManage requests and tickets within client’s ServiceNow platformDevelop and maintain network scripts to allow operations to deploy and configure environments after operational turnoverParticipate in the network assessment, design, connectivity, process, and ongoing operation for connecting to the various cloud vendorsConduct technical discovery sessions with vendors and customersParticipate in the design, configuration, deployment, and day to day maintenance and operation of a Cloud network and assist with the migration of existing applications to new cloud hosting platformsProvide senior-level network engineering, design, and operation consultation with leadership, project teams and end users to identify network runtime requirements and perform feasibility analysis on potential changes related to security and network architectureCreate documentation to install, replace, and upgrade network cloud componentsServe as a senior network resource in the Hybrid Cloud enterprise journey encompassing ongoing architecture, design, planning, configuration, implementation, testing, operation and documentation of the enterprise networkParticipate in assigned network integration projects and deployments and ensure solutions are delivered to meet business requirementsResponsible for engineering, implementing and operating Cloud network solutions at the component level, including hands-on configuration, troubleshooting and optimization and metrics for sameProvide feedback to leadership and peers on risks identified during business impact analysis, site risk assessments and disaster recovery planningSkillsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Networking5+ years' of professional experience in network communications, network planning, cloud computing, disaster/recovery, or comparable professional job experienceExperience implementing changes in Palo Alto and F5Ability to evaluate network infrastructure and connectivity solutions and make recommendations to migrate applications and data workloads to a Cloud based modelDemonstrated expertise to design, configure, deploy, operate and maintain state of the art cloud network infrastructure and connectivity solutions to support storage and server virtualization technologies, software defined datacenter technologies, hyper-converged datacenter hardware solutions, and software tools to manage and maintain Cloud environmentsExperience with load balancersDemonstrated consulting, presentation, and project management skillsDemonstrated proficiency in use of network routing, switching and security protocolsCisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certificationCisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification acceptable with other network credentials24/7 on-call rotational dutiesExperience working in a regulatory environment is a plus!Experience handling and resolving ticketsExcellent communication skills with the ability to work under tight deadlinesExceptional critical thinking, communication, grammatical and organizational skillsMicrosoft Azure and/or OCI is preferredProject Management Professional (PMP) certificationSecurity + certificationCisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) written certificationBenefitsCompetitive medical, dental, vision, Health Savings Account, Dependent Care FSA, and supplemental coverage with plans that can fit each employee’s needs401k plan that includes a company match and is fully vested after you become eligiblePaid time offSick timePaid company holidaysEmployee Assistance Program (EAP) that provides services like virtual counseling, financial services, legal services, life coaching, etc.Company OverviewBrooksource is a single source for project and supplemental support through contract employment, contract-to-hire labor employment.
