Bozeman Health is seeking a Cloud FinOps Engineer responsible for optimizing cloud financial management and ensuring maximum business value from cloud resources. This role involves designing frameworks and processes, monitoring cloud costs, and collaborating with technical teams to manage expenses effectively.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement a comprehensive FinOps strategy for Azure cloud operationsPredict future cloud service expenses based on usage trends and organizational goalsContinuously monitor and analyze cloud costs to identify areas for optimization and savingsPartner with technical teams to manage cloud costs and ensure efficient resource utilizationCreate and maintain reports detailing cloud spending, usage, and optimization opportunitiesDevelop and maintain relationships with cloud service providers to negotiate favorable pricing and termsResearch and apply industry trends and best practices in cloud financial managementPerform administrative tasks including managing purchase orders and preparing budgetary informationProvide on-call support on rotating schedulePerforms other duties as assignedSkillsBachelor's degree in a related field; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be consideredFive (5) years of experience in cloud infrastructure, automation frameworks and/or best practicesFive (5) years of experience in IT infrastructure and infrastructure operationsThree (3) years of experience in Azure cloud financial management, cost optimization, billing models and reporting toolsFinOps Certified Practitioner, or ability to obtain certification within six (6) months of hirePrior experience within a healthcare organization IT departmentCompany OverviewBozeman Health focuses on offering comprehensive services to meet the various healthcare needs.
