They are seeking a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) & Workflow Automation Engineer to design, automate, and operate cloud-based platforms that support lab and research applications, focusing on GCP engineering and workflow automation.ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and support solutions on GCP, including services such as BigQuery, BigTable, Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Agent Platform (formerly Vertex Ai), and related cloud-native servicesDevelop and maintain ETL and data pipeline automation for structured and unstructured data workflowsBuild automation using Python and shell scripting to support workflow execution, data movement, platform integrations, monitoring, and operational tasksSupport AI/ML and agent-based workloads including model integration, agent workflows, and AI-enabled automation where applicableContainerize applications, scripts, services, and workflow components using DockerDeploy containerized workloads to cloud-native platforms such as Cloud Run, or other managed GCP runtimesBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application deployment, infrastructure changes, workflow automation, and data pipeline releasesDevelop and maintain Terraform modules for repeatable GCP infrastructure deploymentsSupport and integrate workflow or lab orchestration platforms such as Mendix, NAN, Nextflow, or similar toolsCollaborate with application teams, data engineers, lab systems teams, and business stakeholders to translate workflow requirements into scalable cloud solutionsContribute to best practices around cloud security, logging, monitoring, reliability, automation, and cost optimizationSkillsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience5 + years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud PlatformExperience with GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Cloud Composer, IAM, or networkingStrong programming and automation experience with PythonExperience supporting ETL pipelines, data movement workflows, or data processing automationExperience with Docker containerizationExperience with CI/CD pipelinesExperience with Terraform or another infrastructure-as-code toolExperience with workflow automation, lab orchestration, low-code platforms, or process automation tools such as Mendix, NAN, Nextflow, or similarAbility to troubleshoot cloud workloads across permissions, networking, containers, logs, data pipelines, and service integrationsExperience with Vertex AI / Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, including agents, model integration, or AI-enabled automationExperience with BigQuery performance tuning and cost optimizationExperience with Dataflow, Dataproc, or Cloud ComposerExperience supporting lab systems, research platforms, scientific data workflows, or regulated data environmentsExperience with Kubernetes, or serverless container platformsExperience with cloud cost controls, logging, monitoring, and operational dashboardsBenefitsA competitive salary and bonus package based on experience.Comprehensive health and wellness benefits, including Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance.Company-provided Life and Long-Term Disability Insurance.Company-sponsored 401(k) Plan.Team-focused culture and unlimited opportunity for advancement.Company OverviewRCH provides specialized Scientific Computing solutions to help R&D teams accelerate the development of their next scientific breakthrough.
