This role involves supporting and enhancing cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure environments while partnering with development teams to improve operational processes and deployment workflows.ResponsibilitiesSupport and maintain cloud infrastructure, applications, and platform services across AWS and AzureMonitor platform health, performance, and reliability while troubleshooting infrastructure and deployment issuesDesign, build, and maintain scalable Terraform infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code best practicesDevelop reusable Terraform modules and deployment patterns for multi-environment and multi-account architecturesBuild, support, and improve CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflowsCollaborate with development teams to support deployments, troubleshoot release issues, and improve operational processesPartner with senior engineers on cloud architecture, scalability, resiliency, and modernization initiativesSupport cloud security standards, governance, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery initiativesImprove reliability and operational efficiency through automation, monitoring, observability, and cost optimizationParticipate in incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement effortsCreate and maintain technical documentation, operational runbooks, and knowledge base articlesWork within issue and project tracking systems to document work and support collaborationParticipate in a shared on call rotationSkills2+ years of experience with systems, infrastructure, or network administration2+ years of experience operating infrastructure within AWS environmentsExperience with networking, DNS, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery conceptsExperience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and deployment automationExperience with monitoring, logging, and observability platformsProficiency with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices in a version-controlled environment such as GitExperience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similarStrong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skillsAbility to independently prioritize and manage multiple responsibilitiesStrong written communication and documentation skillsAbility to work flexible hours outside standard business hours as neededAssociate degree in a technical field or equivalent professional experienceAWS certifications such as Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, or Developer AssociateExperience administering Linux and/or Windows operating systemsExperience with Active Directory or similar identity management servicesFamiliarity with AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot or ChatGPTAbility to quickly learn and implement new technologiesStrong desire for continuous learning and professional growthCompany OverviewFoodChain ID is a provider of technology-enabled, integrated testing, certification, and technical services solutions.
