[Remote] Cloud Engineer

In this role, you will design, build, secure, and optimize cloud environments while collaborating with development teams to enable automation and reliable cloud operations. Responsibilities • Design and implement cloud infrastructure on Azure and AWS following best practices for availability, scalability, and security • Manage cloud resources including VMs, storage, networking, load balancers, API gateways, identity services, logging, and monitoring • Apply cost-optimization strategies and monitor ongoing usage across environments • Work with containers, orchestration, and DevOps tooling (Docker, Kubernetes) • Write, maintain, and version infrastructure using Terraform (modules, workspaces, state management) • Automate provisioning, scaling, and deployment of cloud resources • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins) • Implement automated testing, code quality checks, dependency scanning, and deployment gates • Improve release cycles and support development teams to achieve faster delivery • Apply cloud security frameworks, access controls, and network segmentation • Implement policies using tools such as Azure Policy, AWS IAM, and Terraform guardrails • Monitor cloud logs and enforce compliance with internal and external standards • Set up dashboards and alerts using CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Grafana, or Prometheus • Improve system reliability through redundancy, autoscaling, and fault-tolerant architecture Skills • 2–3+ years of experience in cloud engineering or DevOps roles • Strong hands-on experience with Azure and AWS cloud services • Deep knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and automation • Solid background in CI/CD, automation, and scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python) • Understanding of networking concepts: VPC, VNets, Subnets, Firewalls, VPN, DNS • Working knowledge of cloud security, IAM, and compliance • Experience with monitoring, logging, and performance tuning Company Overview • This page is owned and operated by JAF HOLDINGS INC.
