[Remote] Cloud Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. SMARTFOX is seeking Cloud Engineers to join their growing infrastructure team. The role involves designing, deploying, and managing scalable and secure cloud infrastructure, as well as collaborating with development teams to support application deployment and scaling needs.ResponsibilitiesDesign, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP)Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deploymentsMonitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availabilityImplement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform/CloudFormation/ARM templatesManage containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)Collaborate with development teams to support application deployment and scaling needsImplement and maintain security best practices, IAM policies, and compliance standardsOptimize cloud costs and resource utilizationMaintain documentation for infrastructure, processes, and runbooks(For experienced candidates) Mentor junior engineers and lead cloud migration/modernization projectsSkillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related fieldBasic understanding of cloud concepts (compute, storage, networking)Familiarity with at least one cloud platform (AWS/Azure/GCP) certifications are a plusBasic scripting knowledge (Python/Bash/PowerShell)Understanding of Linux fundamentalsStrong willingness to learn and problem-solving mindsetKnowledge of Git/version control is a plusHands-on experience with AWS/Azure/GCP services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Lambda, etc.)Proven experience with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible)Strong experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)Hands-on experience with Docker and KubernetesExperience with monitoring/logging tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)Strong scripting/automation skills (Python, Bash, Shell)Experience with networking concepts (VPC, subnets, load balancers, DNS)Cloud certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect / Azure Administrator / GCP Associate) preferredExperience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environmentsKnowledge of serverless architectureExposure to DevSecOps practicesExperience with database management (RDS, DynamoDB, Cosmos DB)Company OverviewWe Are Increasing Business Success With Technology.
