[Remote] Cloud Engineer

As a Cloud Engineer on the platform team, you will contribute to the design, delivery, and operation of the foundational cloud systems that power Bamboo Health at scale.ResponsibilitiesBuild, maintain, and improve cloud infrastructure components on AWS, working from defined requirements and under the guidance of senior engineersWrite and update infrastructure as code (Terraform or CFN) to provision and manage cloud resources reliably and repeatablyMonitor platform health, investigate alerts, and participate in incident response and on-call rotationsSupport CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance to improve developer experience and deployment reliabilityContribute to documentation for platform services, runbooks, and architecture decisionsParticipate in code and design reviews, giving and receiving constructive feedback as part of the team's development cultureCollaborate with product engineering teams to help them understand and use platform services effectivelyIdentify and surface technical issues, bugs, or improvement opportunities — you don't need to solve everything alone, but you should speak up when something's not rightExplore opportunities to enhance workflows through AI or automation tools (e.g., document summarization, task routing, or data parsing)Identify repetitive tasks and partner with team leads to implement scalable automation solutionsSkillsA mission-driven focus with a genuine interest in using technology to improve healthcare outcomesBachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experienceSome hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) — whether through internships, personal projects, coursework, or early professional rolesFamiliarity with at least one scripting or programming language (Python, Bash, or similar)Basic understanding of networking, compute, and storage concepts in a cloud contextFamiliarity with version control (Git) and working in a collaborative development environmentStrong communication skills and a willingness to ask for help, share what you're learning, and work through problems with your teamComfort with ambiguity and a growth mindset — you're here to learn and you take feedback wellExposure to infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK, or similar)Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) even at a basic levelFamiliarity with CI/CD concepts or tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CodePipeline, or similar)Exposure to healthcare technology, HL7/FHIR, or working with sensitive regulated dataAWS certifications (Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect Associate, or similar)Comfort using or learning AI-supported tools (e.g., ChatGPT, CoPilot, or role-specific tools) to improve daily workflowsA forward-thinking, curious mindset with an openness to experimenting with new technologiesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with sound judgment and creativity in designing solutionsProven ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth, and rapidly evolving environmentsAbility to work effectively in a remote-first environment, ensuring high-quality virtual interactions with minimal distractionsThe ability to travel periodically for workBenefitsHealth, dental, vision and other benefitsCompany OverviewBamboo Health operates as a healthcare technology solutions company with a focus on fostering care collaboration.
