The Clinical Trainer & Rehabilitation Specialist will be responsible for training O&P practitioners and therapy practitioners on Myomo products, developing training curricula, and ensuring high-quality orthotic care for patients.ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop training curricula for orthotic/prosthetic and therapy clinicians, incorporating the latest advancements for Myomo productsCreate educational materials, presentations, and resources to support training programs for Myomo staff and partnering cliniciansConduct hands-on training sessions, workshops, and in-person or virtual lectures for orthotic/prosthetic practitioners and therapistsProvide guidance on clinical techniques, patient assessment, and the use of Myomo orthotic productsProvides field training and observation on an ongoing basisDemonstrates knowledge and serves as a clinical expert of Myomo product lineAssess the clinical competence of orthotic/prosthetic practitioners and therapists through practical evaluations and written assessmentsProvide constructive feedback to facilitate continuous improvement in clinical skillsStay abreast of emerging technologies, treatments, and trends in orthotics and myoelectric prostheticsIntegrate technological advancements into training programs to ensure practitioners are familiar with the latest tools and devicesWork collaboratively with cross functional team members, healthcare institutions, academic partners, and industry partners to enhance training opportunitiesFoster partnerships to facilitate access to cutting-edge resources and expertiseProvides clinical expertise with clinicians, engineering, product development and quality to improve Myomo productsBuild and sustain credible business relationships with Myomo clients, therapists, patients, and physicians, and share product expertise accordinglyIdentify, report, and advise of customer needs, product performance and potential sales opportunities to influence product improvement, service of accounts, and sales growthFacilitate ongoing professional development opportunities for internal and external cliniciansEncourage clinicians to stay current with all Myomo products and industry standards and best practicesStay up to date on emerging technologies in the education and training industry to improve effective training techniquesMaintain accurate records of training sessions, assessments, and participant feedback in a timely mannerPrepare reports on the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations for improvementsMaintain CRM and patient documentation in a timely mannerImplement, practice, and monitor quality assurance measures to ensure the highest standards of care for Myomo's productsProvide support and guidance in addressing any identified areas for improvementIdentify, report, and advise of customer needs, product performance and potential sales opportunities to influence product improvement, service of accounts, and sales growthAssist and support with various clinical duties as neededAttend and participate in industry conferences and meetings as neededSkillsLicensed Occupational or Physical Therapist5 years of Rehab experience to include inpatient, outpatient, or home health settings. Must have experience in managing neurological patientsExcellent interpersonal skills to build effective, lasting relationships with O & P partners, therapists, and clientsMust be well-organized and self-motivated, with integrity, initiative, and excellent verbal/written communication skills extending to public speaking and presentation formatsPolished, professional, and tactful conduct in all internal and external interactionsStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt in an evolving environment with easeDedication to teamwork along with a strong commitment to clinical excellenceAbility to quickly master technologyAdvanced skills with applicable computer programs, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPointAbility to travel a minimum of 50% in assigned territories (within US), with an average of 1-3 overnight stays per week on a regular basisPreferred experience with myoelectric upper extremity prosthetics and/or upper extremity orthotics, or neurological certificationCST, MST, or PST time zones preferredBenefitsFully remoteAbility to travel a minimum of 50% in assigned territories (within US), with an average of 1-3 overnight stays per week on a regular basis.Company OverviewMyomo, Inc.
