The Clinical Sales Specialist will promote the safe and effective use of Teleflex’s MCS products, drive sales revenues, and provide training and education to medical personnel.ResponsibilitiesPromote and sell Teleflex’s MCS productsEffectively communicate clinically differentiated product features/benefits and technology with approved selling toolsConduct product demonstrations and in-services to physicians, nurses, perfusionists and other medical personnel to educate them on the safe and effective use of the productTrain customers on the proper use of Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump/Catheter products in accordance with each IFU and Operator’s ManualProvide case coverage for physicians conducting product evaluations as they move to becoming consistent users and customersCover the 24 hour IABP support lineDevelop and implement a proactive sales plan with the Regional Sales Manager and team members, to achieve sales goals and increase and ensure overall excellence in customer experienceWork closely with the Regional Sales Manager, Sales Representatives, and Associate Sales Representatives in evaluating business conditions and sales trendsWork with Marketing, R&D, and the Clinical Medical Affairs team to provide field intelligence on competitive products, market activity, effective clinical support techniques, as well as input on customer preferences and product featuresDemonstrate comprehensive product knowledge and the ability to utilize sales techniques in a clinical settingProvide sales support for conferences and Society meetings and other marketing eventsWork in the Interventional Cardiology, Cardiac Operating Rooms, or Critical Care areas on a day-to-day basis to drive evaluations, adoption, and use of products throughout assigned geographic areaFacilitate resolutions to customer questions or complaints and engage Clinical Medical Affairs when appropriateBuild robust relationships with medical staffComplete necessary reports and administrative tasks as needed (i.e. expense reports, competitive updates, Sales force.com entries)Manage time and asset costs effectivelyReport all off-label inquiries to [email protected] per current protocolsAdhere to and ensure compliance with Teleflex’s Code of Conduct, and all company policies, rules, procedures, and standardsSkillsBachelor's degree preferred. Associate's Degree and a minimum of 3 years of Cardiac experience may be accepted in lieu of Bachelor's degreeExperience with MCS strongly preferredExperience in Cardiac Care strongly preferredPrevious industry sales experience preferredPrevious industry clinical experience strongly preferredExcellent customer service and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with others through verbal and written communicationsAbility to handle difficult conversations and situationsSelf-directed and able to work independentlyAbility to function in a fast paced, high growth environment and handle multiple projects concurrentlyStrong problem solving and analytical skillsExcellent organizational skillsProficiency with computer technology and Microsoft Office tools, as well as Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software and platformsAbility and willingness to travel up to 75% of time, domestically and/or internationallyPossession of a valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record and properly insured motor vehicleAbility to carry detail bag weighing up to 20 lbs. and lift equipment weighing up to 30 lbsAbility to stand and/or walk in numerous hospitals or at meetings for 6 – 10 hours per day, up to five (5) days per weekMust be able to establish and maintain vendor credentials (via RepTrax, Vendormate, etc.) to have the ability to enter and work, as required, in hospitals and other medical facilities, as an essential function of the jobDepending on customer/site requirements, vendor credentials may require the employee to obtain the COVID-19 vaccinationBenefitsCommissions will also vary depending on individual performanceBenefits such as medical, prescription drug, dental and vision insuranceFlexible spending accountsParticipation in 401(k) savings planVarious paid time off benefits, such as PTO, short- and long-term disability and parental leave, dependent on the position offeredDetails of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employmentCompany OverviewTeleflex is a manufacturing company that designs and develops medical devices for the healthcare sector.
