[Remote] Clinical Research Billing Analyst

This role involves overseeing the financial aspects of clinical trials, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support study start-ups and manage research financial data.ResponsibilitiesOverseeing the financial aspects of clinical trials within a highly regulated fieldCompiling and analyzing diverse data, particularly focusing on Medicare Coverage Analysis (MCA)Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support study start-ups, aligning budgets with trial scopes and ensuring regulatory adherenceReviewing MCAs against protocols to ensure accurate billingProviding financial insights for new research grants and managing industry and grant funds post-awardOverseeing invoicing and cash flow for funded trialsManaging research financial data and conducting comprehensive analysesProviding essential education and support to research operations staff regarding finance, billing processes, policies, and regulationsSpearheading special projects and quality assurance initiatives for timely invoicing and efficient monetary trackingSkillsBachelor's degree in Biological/Life Sciences, Business Administration, Finance/Accounting, or other closely related fieldThree years healthcare, research (clinical and/or administration), general finance/accounting, and/or business administrative experienceExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsSolid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft softwareStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail orientedProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteDemonstrated ability to gather, assemble, interpret, and use complex data to develop actionable steps that will improve processes and optimize resultsGeneral understanding of medical terminologyDemonstrated ability to train individuals and provide education to small groupsTeam building and change managementCustomer ServiceResearch Administration and Regulations within our niche industry Medicare Clinical Trial Policy, Medicare billing rules, Medicare Coverage Analysis within our specialized regulatory frameworkClinical trial budget development & negotiationsResearch related Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Revenue cycle managementResearch-related coding with a deep understanding of our industry's coding standardsAccounts receivable and Accounts payable experienceService line profitability and margin reportingProject Management/Strategic PlanningPolicy/Standard Operating Procedure/Working Process Writing/MaintenanceExperience in large, multicenter health systemAny research-related certificationBasic knowledge and understanding of the regulatory, operational, logistical, and administrative requirements of clinical research studiesClinical Trial Management Systems (CTMS) and/or other research software systemsBasic knowledge of research regulations (e.g. IRB, FDA, OHRP, GCP, etc.)BenefitsOSF HealthCare is dedicated to provide Mission Partners with a comprehensive and market-competitive total rewards package that includes benefits, compensation, recognition and well-being offerings that focus on the whole person and engage with their current stage of life and career.
