Dice is seeking a Clinical Informatics Specialist to facilitate and support the integration of people, processes, clinical information, and technology across inpatient and ambulatory settings. This role promotes the effective use of clinical information systems to enhance patient care, safety, and quality outcomes.ResponsibilitiesServe as a liaison between clinicians, operational teams, and IT to optimize clinical information systems and workflowsLead basic to moderately complex projects, including planning, execution, and evaluationConduct analysis of clinical and organizational needs and recommend solutions, tools, and process improvementsCollaborate with clinicians to assess current and future technology needs and align workflows with integrated systemsMap current business processes and recommend improvements to enhance system efficiency and usabilityMake recommendations to leadership regarding new processes, system enhancements, and service improvementsEstablish daily priorities for assigned workgroups and provide guidance on non-routine or escalated issuesParticipate in the development and implementation of organizational policies related to clinical information managementEnsure compliance with all applicable healthcare laws, regulations, and information system standardsDevelop and deliver training materials to support end-user adoption and effective use of clinical technologiesLead and facilitate workgroups focused on system design, workflow optimization, and implementation strategiesRecruit and collaborate with clinicians for design sessions, validation, and user acceptance testingPrepare and communicate project updates, reports, and recommendations to leadershipCreate test scenarios, test scripts, and lead user acceptance testing activitiesResolve complex or sensitive project-related issues and manage resources to meet strategic goalsProvide subject-matter expertise in clinical workflows, policies, and healthcare processesIdentify and drive continuous process improvement initiativesSkillsStrong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, high-pressure environmentExperience working with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), including data navigation and interpretationHands-on experience with Epic EHR systemsKnowledge of clinical workflows in both ambulatory and acute care settingsUnderstanding of healthcare data standards and code sets, including: SNOMED CT, LOINC, ICD-9/10, CPT/HCPCS, RxNorm, CVXBachelor's degree in Clinical Informatics, Healthcare, Information Technology, or related fieldEquivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be consideredExperience with Epic Signal and Gold Star reporting toolsClinical background or hands-on clinical experienceEpic certifications and/or build/analyst experience strongly preferredExperience in clinical informatics, healthcare IT, or related fieldBenefitsMedicalPrescriptionDentalVisionAD&DLife insurance offeringsShort-term disability401K plan (all benefits are based on eligibility)Company OverviewDice is a job-searching platform for technology professionals.
