The Clinical Affairs Specialist role involves supporting the clinical integration and evidence-based use of Teleflex's product portfolio through collaboration with healthcare professionals, clinical education, and product training.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with commercial and clinical teams to assess customer educational and clinical practice needs, providing product and procedural education, clinical training, in-service support, and appropriate follow-up to support safe and effective product utilizationMaintain advanced knowledge of Teleflex Medical products, with focused expertise in designated clinical specialty areas, including relevant procedures, standards of care, and clinical applicationsSupport the development of clinical relationships through professional engagement, evidence-based consultation, and discussion of best practices related to the appropriate use of Teleflex productsRemain current on medical literature, clinical guidelines, healthcare trends, and the competitive landscape, and communicate relevant insights to cross-functional partners, including sales, marketing, medical affairs, and product management teamsParticipate in scientific, educational, and professional programs at local, regional, and national meetings, conferences, and trade exhibitionsProvide clinical support for customer inquiries through the clinical support call line and other designated communication channelsSupport clinical awareness and appropriate integration of Teleflex products through engagement with key opinion leaders, academic medical centers, and healthcare institutions to facilitate evidence-based education and clinical adoptionProvide education and training to internal and external stakeholders on the safe and appropriate use of products in accordance with Instructions for Use (IFU), Operator’s Manuals, institutional policies and procedures, evidence-based practice guidelines, and applicable regulatory requirementsCollaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, Engineering, and other internal teams on strategic initiatives and product-related activities, applying critical thinking and clinical judgment to evaluate information, address challenges, and support informed decision-making within established company policies and practicesMaintain accurate and timely completion of administrative responsibilities associated with clinical activities, including documentation, expense reporting, required reporting processes, and adherence to Teleflex policies and compliance standardsManage unsolicited off-label inquiries in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements, including appropriate documentation, escalation, and dissemination of balanced, non-promotional scientific informationAdhere to and ensure the compliance of Teleflex Medical’s Code of Conduct, all Company policies, rules, procedures, and standardsSkillsBachelor's degree preferredHealthcare Provider with a minimum of 5 years' patient care experience in critical care area and/or interventional access specialty (i.e., Interventional Radiology, Cardiac Cath Lab, etc.)Minimum of two years of Medical Device Industry experienceMinimum of three years of experience in a business environmentProfessional Development background, including curriculum creationAdvanced Certification (i.e., CRNI, VA-BC, CCRN, CEN, etc.)Have current licensure and credentials as applicable for clinical specialtyMust be able to establish and maintain vendor credentials (via RepTrax, Vendormate, etc.) to have the ability to enter and work, as required, in hospitals and other medical facilities, as an essential function of the jobProficiency with Microsoft Office applicationsPossess a valid driver's license, own and operate a motor vehicle with satisfactory driving recordsCarry a detail bag weighing up to 20 lbsLift equipment weighing up to 30 lbsAble to stand or walk in numerous hospitals or at meetings for approximately 8 – 12 hours per day, up to five (5) days per weekBenefitsMedical, prescription drug, dental, and vision insuranceFlexible spending accountsParticipation in a 401(k) savings planVarious paid time off benefits, such as PTO, short- and long-term disability, and parental leave, dependent on the position offeredDetails of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employmentCompany OverviewTeleflex is a manufacturing company that designs and develops medical devices for the healthcare sector.
