[Remote] Climate and Decarbonization Strategy Associate
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. SEI is launching its Climate Corps Fellowship program, offering a unique opportunity for individuals to lead impactful climate and community resilience projects. As a Climate and Decarbonization Strategy Associate, you will contribute to climate resiliency initiatives by helping clients measure and manage energy performance in real estate portfolios.
Responsibilities
⢠Provide support to the climate and decarbonization team, specific to energy and decarbonization goals, collaborating with team members as needed
⢠Leverage Microsoft Excel and additional 3rd Party analysis tools to support the team developing decarbonization pathways for corporate occupier and owner/investor real estate clients
⢠Be accountable for collecting and reviewing energy use data; building information; Energy Star Portfolio Manager profile development; and regulatory compliance obligations
⢠Partner with internal stakeholders to analyze utility data and determine upstream opportunities for energy reduction
⢠Improve upon processes and procedures for data collection and monitoring to support data analytics
⢠Research and stay current on regulatory issues to enhance efforts
⢠Utilize JLL's AI tools to enhance efficiency
⢠Establish and optimize strong working relationships with internal stakeholders
⢠Demonstrate innovative thinking and proactive management in bringing new ideas and solutions to the service delivery
Skills
⢠Engineering, math, environmental science, or other related background
⢠Data management and analytics experience
⢠Passionate about working towards a sustainable future
⢠Ability to build strong working relationships and be a team player
⢠Attention to detail and accuracy in written and numeric work
⢠Proactive in asking questions and comfortable working independently
⢠Possess strong analytical and creative critical thinking skills
⢠Have excellent oral and written communication skills
⢠Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis

⢠Authorization to work in the United States for the duration of the fellowship (SEI is unable to sponsor visas)
⢠May require occasional moving about to accomplish tasks, moving from one worksite to another, or adjusting or moving objects under 25-50 pounds in all directions
⢠Must be 18 years or older to apply
⢠Familiarity with commercial building regulations in the US
⢠Experience with commercial real estate
⢠Understanding of building design, construction, and operations across multiple real estate asset types
⢠Demonstrated experience in technical data analysis and/or engineering delivery, and presentation delivery
