[Remote] Civil Site Engineer - Data Centers

They are seeking a Civil Site Engineer - Data Centers to lead the interpretation and application of civil infrastructure requirements for modular data center deployments, ensuring compliance with local codes and site constraints.ResponsibilitiesOwn interpretation of civil and site development requirements impacting modular data center deployments, including:Site preparation, grading, and accessFoundations, anchoring, and structural interfacesUtility coordination (power, grounding, water, drainage)Fire/life safety site considerations (setbacks, access, egress)Evaluate jurisdiction-specific codes, permitting pathways, and AHJ expectationsIdentify constraints affecting module siting, layout, and deployment feasibilitySupport design development as needed by translating site conditions, permitting constraints, utility requirements, and constructability considerations into actionable inputs for engineering and external GC's/civil consultantsPartner with product, engineering, and delivery teams to:Translate civil requirements into clear constraints, risks, and design inputsProvide early-stage feasibility assessments and go/no-go recommendationsPrevent non-standard site conditions from driving late-stage design changesSupport customer deployments by:Assessing site-specific civil readinessCoordinating with OEM partners and local civil consultantsAdvising on alignment with Armada’s standard SKUs vs. required customizationDevelop and maintain:Civil requirement guidelines for modular deploymentsSite readiness and permitting checklists by geographyDocumentation that standardizes civil assumptions across projectsCapture recurring requirements and regional patterns to:Improve deployment speed and consistencyInform product and platform evolutionSkills6+ years in civil engineering, site development, or infrastructure deliveryExperience with data centers, critical facilities, or large-scale infrastructure projectsProven ability to operate across permitting, site execution, and cross-functional teamsExperience managing consultants, vendors, and project stakeholdersStrong understanding of site development (grading, drainage, access, utilities)Foundations and structural interfaces for prefabricated or modular systemsUtility coordination, especially electrical service and groundingFire/life safety considerations at the site levelAbility to interpret codes, standards, and AHJ requirements and translate them into actionable guidanceBenefitsEquitySubsidized benefitsCompetitive base salary and equityMedical, dental, and vision (subsidized cost)Health savings accounts (HSA), flexible spending accounts (FSA), and dependent care FSAs (DCFSA)Retirement plan options, including 401(k) and Roth 401(k)Unlimited paid time off (PTO)14 paid company holidays per yearCompany OverviewArmada develops computing infrastructure that supports AI processing, connectivity, and data management in remote environments.
