[Remote] Civil Engineer I

They are seeking a Civil Engineer I who will be responsible for site development, grading, stormwater design, and structural design for renewable energy projects in a collaborative environment.ResponsibilitiesPrepare site development plans, grading plans, drainage maps, erosion control, and access road designsCreate and maintain Civil 3D drawings including site plans, landscape layouts, plans and profiles, cross sections, general notes, and detail drawingsPerform earthwork analysis including cut/fill volume calculationsDevelop model space layouts, surface modeling, and alignments based on project specificationsEnsure compliance with local codes, industry standards, and client requirementsSupport the development of CAD and engineering SOPsContribute to refining workflows to improve project efficiency and accuracyMaintain organized design documentation and manage project filesCoordinate with Project Engineers, Designers, and Project Managers to meet project deadlinesParticipate in internal design reviews and client meetingsProvide technical support and collaborate across disciplinesSkillsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering1+ years of experience including internship experience in civil site design and plan creationProficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D including grading, alignments, profiles, corridors, feature lines, surface modeling, and volume calculationsStrong foundation in stormwater, drainage, and access road designProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasksDesire to obtain PE licensure or active EIT certificationExperience with solar farm or energy infrastructure projectsFamiliarity with GIS softwareKnowledge of geotechnical and soil-structure interaction principlesBenefitsHealth, dental, and vision insurance (if applicable)Paid time offCompany holidaysProfessional growth opportunitiesCompany OverviewCastillo Engineering offers utility and residential solar engineering services.
