[Remote] Chief Operating & Risk Officer (Management Board Member)

Wirex is a well-established compliance-led fintech group, and they are seeking a Chief Operating & Risk Officer (CORO) to join the Management Board. The role involves shaping the firm's operating model, internal controls, and enterprise risk framework, while also overseeing regulatory compliance and governance. Responsibilities • Design, implement and own the operating model and internal control framework • Establish and maintain enterprise risk management • Oversee regulatory implementation and supervisory engagement • Act as a statutory director with collective responsibility • Lead operational resilience, outsourcing and third-party risk • Embed a strong culture of accountability and control Skills • 10+ years' experience in regulated financial services, fintech or crypto • Senior leadership experience across operations, risk or compliance • Proven internal control and regulatory engagement experience • Experience with CASP, MiCA or comparable authorisation processes • Subject to CySEC fitness and propriety assessment • Full background checks will be part of the recruitment process • Must meet CySEC suitability screening requirements • Must be based in and resident in Cyprus • CySEC‑approved candidates strongly preferred Company Overview • Wirex is a digital payment platform that aims to make crypto and traditional currencies equal and accessible to everyone.
