[Remote] Chief of Staff to VP, Data Center Engineering & Infrastructure

They are seeking a Chief of Staff to partner with the VP of Data Center Engineering & Infrastructure to operationalize organizational priorities and drive alignment across the organization.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Partner directly with the VP to operationalize organizational priorities, strategic initiatives, and long-term business objectives
ā¢ Anticipate executive questions, concerns, risks, and organizational pain points while proactively developing recommendations and action plans
ā¢ Serve as a trusted advisor and force multiplier for the VP and leadership team by driving alignment, accountability, and execution rigor across the organization
ā¢ Hold self and partner organizations accountable to the high operational and performance bar established within OCI
ā¢ Lead business operations programs for Engineering & Infrastructure organizations in partnership with CIO-office Business Operations teams
ā¢ Establish and continuously improve operational best practices, forecasting mechanisms, tooling strategies, reporting frameworks, and organizational rhythms
ā¢ Identify business process gaps, operational inefficiencies, and organizational changes needed to support a healthy, scalable organization
ā¢ Drive leadership accountability for execution against organizational priorities, deliverables, and operational commitments
ā¢ Lead special projects and cross-cutting strategic programs spanning engineering, infrastructure, supply chain, product, and operations teams
ā¢ Collaborate with engineering organizations to develop and maintain standards for physical deployment, testing metrics, logical deployment, and infrastructure readiness
ā¢ Drive complex initiatives through influence across highly matrixed organizations without direct reporting authority
ā¢ Manage risks, dependencies, escalations, and execution tracking across multiple concurrent strategic programs
ā¢ Deliver executive-level reporting including program summaries, business reviews, product documentation, business requirements, roadmap updates, release plans, and operational metrics
ā¢ Establish executive operating rhythms including Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs), Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), staff meetings, and leadership updates
ā¢ Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and organizational planning
ā¢ Develop operational strategies, governance mechanisms, and policies that improve scalability, consistency, and execution quality across the organization
ā¢ Act as an educator, mentor, and evangelist for industry best practices, operational excellence, and OCI core values
ā¢ Drive continuous improvement initiatives that elevate organizational maturity, execution discipline, and leadership effectiveness
ā¢ Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, transparency, and customer obsession
Skills
ā¢ 10+ years of experience
ā¢ 5+ years of experience in Chief of Staff, Technical Program Management, Business Operations, Engineering Operations, or Strategy roles
ā¢ Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional organizations without direct authority
ā¢ Strong executive presence with experience supporting VP or senior leadership-level leaders
ā¢ Demonstrated expertise in business operations, organizational strategy, program execution, and operational reporting
ā¢ Deep understanding of engineering development lifecycle processes, infrastructure deployment methodologies, and program management best practices
ā¢ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with experience preparing executive-level presentations and documentation
ā¢ Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with ability to manage ambiguity and competing priorities
ā¢ Applicants are required to read, write, and speak the following languages: English
ā¢ Experience within hyperscale data center, cloud infrastructure, or mission-critical engineering environments
ā¢ Familiarity with engineering deployment standards, infrastructure testing methodologies, and operational readiness frameworks
