Remote Chief Information Security Officer

In this role, you will be at the forefront of driving enterprise security strategies while ensuring robust risk management and compliance initiatives. You will lead a cross-functional team, integrating security into all aspects of technology and business processes. Responsibilities • Own the end-to-end vision and roadmap for the enterprise security program. • Build and maintain a CMMC L2 compliant enclave; lead incident readiness and response. • Establish a comprehensive asset inventory and validate tool coverage. • Publish clear policies and governance procedures; ensure annual reviews and trainings. • Lead and grow a high-performing security organization spanning GRC, SecOps, and IAM. Requirements • 10+ years of experience leading enterprise security programs and teams. • Demonstrated success aligning programs to NIST 800-171, ISO 27001, NIST CSF. • Proven ability to operationalize policy lifecycle management and incident response. • Strong communication skills with executives, technical teams, and business leaders. • Flexibility, resilience, and a curious mindset.
