Job Summary TikTok is seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented Remote Chat Moderators to join our dynamic global team. You will monitor live chats, comments, and direct messages, reviewing content to maintain community guidelines and foster a welcoming environment for all users. Key Responsibilities • Monitor live chat sessions, comments, and direct messages in real-time to ensure adherence to TikTok’s community standards and policies. • Review flagged content and respond appropriately to maintain a safe online environment. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Content Moderation, Trust & Safety, and Support, to address escalations and complex situations. • Document and report trends, user behavior, and potential risks for internal review. • Provide timely, accurate, and professional responses to user inquiries or incidents. • Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive information related to users and platform operations. Required Skills and Qualifications • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus. • Strong attention to detail and ability to make quick, informed decisions. • Familiarity with social media platforms, chat environments, and online community behavior. • Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks effectively. • Comfortable using digital tools, moderation software, and reporting systems. Experience • Prior experience in content moderation, customer support, or community management is preferred. • Experience working in a fast-paced digital or social media environment is a plus. • Entry-level candidates with strong communication and problem-solving skills are also encouraged to apply.
