[Remote] CFO - Financial Solutions

The CFO - Financial Solutions will serve as a strategic financial advisor and fractional CFO to small- and mid-sized businesses, improving financial visibility and guiding decision-making while collaborating closely with internal accounting teams.ResponsibilitiesLead financial strategy, planning, and forecasting for clientsDevelop and maintain budgets and a 13-week rolling cash flowDeliver timely, monthly financial reporting and executive insightsServe as a trusted partner to clients through periods of stabilization, growth, and transitionPartner with client leadership on growth initiatives, operational efficiency, and risk managementProvide proactive insight by identifying risks, opportunities, and compliance considerations to support client growthMonitor client engagement health and identify opportunities for additional support, resources, or services as appropriateCollaborate cross-functionally to ensure timely, high-quality client supportSkillsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business required; CPA, MBA, or other advanced degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience6–8 years as a CFO or in a high-level strategic finance roleAbility to understand and guide day-to-day full-cycle accounting functions while operating primarily at a strategic levelProficiency with accounting and business platforms (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Fathom, Shopify, Cin7, Amazon)Experience advising small businesses in industries such as inventory-based retail/e-commerce, creative/project-based companies, or technology startupsFamiliarity with accounting and tax methodology, as well as small business economic trendsDemonstrated ability to manage multiple clients and competing priorities while delivering high-quality, timely work in a profitable and efficient mannerStrong leadership, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and guide clients and cross-functional partnersTrack record of delivering exceptional client service and strategic guidance to small businesses and startupsBenefitsWork at Home OpportunityFull-time remote workOccasional travel for some rolesFull-time, exempt W-2 employeeVibrant, award-winning company cultureDedicated, distraction-free home office for standard Monday-Friday business hoursCompany OverviewBELAY is a Virtual Staffing Solutions company that offers virtual bookkeeping, administrative assistance, social media strategy service.
