[Remote] Centralized Material Estimating Analyst - Level 1

In this role, you will develop, validate, and maintain accurate material cost estimates while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support proposals and strategic business decisions.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and validate detailed material cost estimates in support of proposals, negotiations, and program executionCreate clear, auditable Basis of Estimates (BOEs) that align technical inputs, historical data, and program assumptionsCollaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Program teams to gather requirements and ensure cost accuracy and consistencyAnalyze material requirements, supplier data, and cost drivers to identify risks, trends, and opportunities for cost improvementEnsure estimating activities comply with customer requirements, regulatory standards, and internal policies and proceduresSupport reviews, audits, and management briefings by providing cost rationale and responding to data requestsContribute to continuous-improvement initiatives by refining estimating processes, tools, and best practicesSkillsBachelor's degree in accounting/Finance, Business, or other related disciplineExperience with data analytics and analysisPricing or functional estimating experience in materials, engineering, operations, and/or SustainmentFamiliarity or experience with FAR, Part 15 proposal requirementsExperience coordinating complex estimates with changing requirementsExperience using proposal pricing systems or BOE tools such as, PROPRICER, APTS, or BOE other tool usageExperience, with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint at an advanced or expert levelExperience in TableauProven communication and leadership skillsAbility to work remotelyMust be a US Citizen for considerationBenefitsMedicalDentalVisionLife InsuranceShort-Term DisabilityLong-Term Disability401(k) matchFlexible Spending AccountsEAPEducation AssistanceParental LeavePaid time offHolidaysCompany OverviewLockheed Martin is a global security and aerospace company that specializes in advanced technology systems, products, and services.
