[Remote] Centralized Material Estimating Analyst - Level 1

In this role, you will develop, validate, and maintain accurate material cost estimates while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support proposals and strategic business decisions. Responsibilities Develop and validate detailed material cost estimates in support of proposals, negotiations, and program execution Create clear, auditable Basis of Estimates (BOEs) that align technical inputs, historical data, and program assumptions Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Program teams to gather requirements and ensure cost accuracy and consistency Analyze material requirements, supplier data, and cost drivers to identify risks, trends, and opportunities for cost improvement Ensure estimating activities comply with customer requirements, regulatory standards, and internal policies and procedures Support reviews, audits, and management briefings by providing cost rationale and responding to data requests Contribute to continuous-improvement initiatives by refining estimating processes, tools, and best practices Skills Bachelor's degree in accounting/Finance, Business, or other related discipline Experience with data analytics and analysis Pricing or functional estimating experience in materials, engineering, operations, and/or Sustainment Familiarity or experience with FAR, Part 15 proposal requirements Experience coordinating complex estimates with changing requirements Experience using proposal pricing systems or BOE tools such as, PROPRICER, APTS, or BOE other tool usage Experience, with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint at an advanced or expert level Experience in Tableau Proven communication and leadership skills Ability to work remotely Must be a US Citizen for consideration Benefits Medical Dental Vision Life Insurance Short-Term Disability Long-Term Disability 401(k) match Flexible Spending Accounts EAP Education Assistance Parental Leave Paid time off Holidays Company Overview Lockheed Martin is a global security and aerospace company that specializes in advanced technology systems, products, and services.
