[Remote] Central Operations Resilience & Engineering Team Manager

CyrusOne is a leading provider of data center services, and they are seeking a Central Operations Resilience Engineering Team Manager to lead a central team responsible for reducing operational risk and improving the reliability of live operations. This role involves managing a multidisciplinary group of engineers and program leads, driving engineering execution across incident response, root cause analysis, and operational improvement initiatives.ResponsibilitiesLead the Central Operations Resilience and Engineering team, including engineers and program/governance leadsBuild, develop, and retain a high-performing, multidisciplinary teamSet clear expectations, assign accountability, and manage performanceServe as the primary escalation point for operational and technical issues that impact live operationsApply disciplined engineering practices to incident response, root cause analysis, and corrective action developmentEnsure repeat events and systemic gaps are identified and eliminatedDrive consistent problem-solving standards and decision quality across the teamIdentify and lead continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen operational processes, tools, and outcomesUse data, trends, and lessons learned from events to prioritize improvements with the highest risk reduction valueStandardize approaches and improve consistency across sites and regionsOwn and manage a defined portfolio of operational engineering initiatives that support live operationsPlan, prioritize, and execute work with clear scope, milestones, and deliverablesTrack progress and outcomes ensuring commitments are metPartner closely with Site Operations, Design & Construction, Commissioning, Reliability Engineering, and regional teamsTranslate strategic direction into executable plans and measurable resultsBreak down cross-functional barriers and ensure alignment across stakeholdersSkillsB.S. in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or other related technical field) or equivalent industry experience10+ years of experience in mission critical industry with at least 4 years as a manager of a technical team supporting live, mission-critical operationsStrong background in incident response, root cause analysis, and corrective action managementProven ability to manage complex work portfolios with clear accountability and resultsStrong collaboration skills across technical and operational teamsExperience in data center operations, critical facilities, or other high-reliability environmentsExperience managing both technical contributors and program/governance-focused rolesDemonstrated success driving operational risk reduction and reliability improvements at scaleCompany OverviewCyrusOne is a data center operator that offers colocation and peering services.
