They are seeking a Captive Consultant to support captive insurance program development, actuarial analysis, and feasibility studies while providing ongoing analytical support post-formation.ResponsibilitiesProvide Actuarial & Analytical SupportGather and validate exposure data including payroll, sales, mileage, and other key business indicators used in actuarial modelingReview insurance policies and loss runs, perform trend analysis, and interpret loss payment patterns and loss development consistent with captive feasibility and reserving practicesContribute to actuarial components of feasibility studies including loss projections, premium rate development, and reserve analyses, aligned with industry standards for captive feasibility workAssist with financial modeling including pro forma balance sheets, income statements, cash flows, and capital adequacy considerations as typical in captive insurance consultingProduce key sections of feasibility studies, including risk assessments, structure recommendations, domicile considerations, reinsurance options, and long-term financial viability analysesSupport evaluation of captive structures for cost reduction, control of risk, and capacity enhancement, consistent with feasibility frameworks used across the industryAnalyze fronting, reinsurance, and capitalization requirements necessary for captive formation and regulatory submissionsProvide ongoing analytical support post-formation, including reserve reviews, premium allocation, and performance reporting in line with common captive consulting practicesSkillsMinimum 4+ years of captive insurance experience, preferably with exposure to multiple lines including WC, AL, GL, and PLStrong understanding of actuarial concepts such as loss development, exposure analysis, reserving, and pricing—able to work independently without extensive trainingDirect experience within actuarial analysis, underwriting, captive consulting, or alternative risk financingBenefitsRemote - USRisk Strategies is an equal opportunity workplace and is committed to ensuring equal employment opportunity without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, Veteran status, or other legally protected characteristics.Company OverviewRSC is an insurance brokerage firm that offers employee benefits, consulting, financial, and wealth management solutions.
