[Remote] CAD Drafter/Designer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. HireTalent is a staffing and recruiting firm seeking a CAD Drafter/Designer for a 6-month remote contract. The role involves supporting the development and release of engineering models, assemblies, and drawings for aerospace ground support equipment and requires strong expertise in Creo and GD&T knowledge.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Create and modify 3D models, assemblies, and detailed manufacturing drawings using Creo
ā¢ Develop designs for ground support equipment, test fixtures, tooling, transportation, and handling hardware
ā¢ Generate drawings in accordance with ASME Y14.5 (GD&T) standards
ā¢ Support configuration management, engineering change notices (ECNs), and controlled release processes
ā¢ Define and document mechanical, fluid, and electrical interfaces
ā¢ Participate in design reviews and collaborate with engineering teams to implement design updates
Skills
ā¢ Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
ā¢ Proficiency with Creo (Pro/ENGINEER) for 3D modeling and drawing creation
ā¢ Strong knowledge of GD&T and ASME Y14.5 standards
ā¢ Experience with configuration management and engineering release processes
ā¢ Ability to work independently in a remote environment
ā¢ Experience supporting aerospace, space, defense, or ground support equipment programs
ā¢ Familiarity with NASA/MSFC standards and modeling conventions
ā¢ Knowledge of fluid systems, connector interfaces, and tooling design
