ApTask is seeking a CAD Drafter/Designer to develop, modify, and release engineering models and drawings for various systems related to umbilical and ground testing equipment. The role involves ensuring compliance with modeling conventions and configuration management requirements while collaborating with engineers to incorporate design changes.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and release CN-controlled designs, models, and drawings for umbilical assemblies, retraction/release mechanisms, and routing hardwareDefine and document umbilical interfaces with vehicle, payload, and ground support equipment, including connector pinouts and fluid line schematicsDevelop, modify, and maintain Creo models, assemblies, and drawings in compliance with Blue Origin modeling conventions and configuration management requirementsPerform model checks, design reviews, and CN release activities to ensure conformance with applicable Blue Origin engineering standardsDevelop and release CN-controlled designs, models, and drawings for test fixtures, stands, and supporting instrumentation hardwareDefine test equipment interfaces with units under test, including mechanical, fluid, and electrical connectionsDevelop and release CN-controlled designs, models, and drawings for launch pad structures, mechanical systems, and integrated infrastructureDefine and document interfaces between launch pad systems, vehicle, and supporting ground equipmentDevelop and release CN-controlled designs, models, and drawings for lifting fixtures, transport frames, handling rings, and associated toolingDefine tooling interfaces and operational requirements, including rigging points, load paths, and handling proceduresGenerate detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings in accordance with ASME Y14.5 (GD&T) standardsMaintain product data and configuration management through CN-controlled release processesCollaborate with stress analysts and design engineers to incorporate analysis-driven design changesSkillsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experienceProficiency in Creo (Pro/ENGINEER) for modeling, assemblies, and drawing creationStrong working knowledge of GD&T and ASME Y14.5 drafting standardsExperience with configuration management and engineering change/release processesExperience working with NASA MSFC modeling conventions and standardsFamiliarity with fluid line schematics, electrical connector pinouts, and interface documentationExperience designing ground support equipment, tooling, or launch pad structuresExperience with data exchange and model translation between organizationsCompany OverviewApTask is a staffing and recruiting company offering staffing, project, and workforce solutions.
